PROBLEM
The leg was not doing enough.
SOLUTION
The Knee Boomstick is the MTREES weaponized joint extension platform — a knee-mounted rotary weapons deployment system for operators who require their lower extremity to contribute more aggressively to the engagement. The Knee Boomstick extends the standard knee attachment chassis with a forward-facing six-barrel rotary mount integrated at the patella interface via the universal adapter, at which point the leg becomes a delivery mechanism for six thousand rounds per minute in the direction the operator is facing, or kneeling, or crawling, depending on the tactical situation and the operator's current relationship with gravity. The uni-adapter handles the anatomical interface. Old Painless handles everything else. The knee does not notice the additional weight. The knee has been informed that it does not have a choice. The knee is load-bearing. The knee is now also load-delivering.

Old Painless is the MTREES M134 Minigun variant of the Boomstick platform, named by Blain Cooper of the 1987 Predator expedition and subsequently adopted by the product team without legal review because the name was too good to require it. Six rotating barrels. Six thousand rounds per minute. One operator, in defiance of all documented ergonomic guidelines, who carried it through a Central American jungle as though it were a briefcase, which it is not, which the carrying harness system attempts to address with three adjustment points and a prayer. Old Painless was brought to the jungle to solve a problem. The problem was not solved by Old Painless. The problem was solved by a different method entirely, in a river, with mud. Old Painless did not make it out. The legend did. The MTREES version includes a carrying harness, a spare barrel assembly, and a laminated card explaining what the operator is holding to anyone in the immediate vicinity who has not yet figured it out. The card is not necessary. The card is a courtesy.
InspectEXTENDS
The Knee is the MTREES modular joint attachment platform and anatomical mounting chassis for the human knee — a load-bearing hinge that has been doing its job for the entire lifespan of the patient without documentation, without a warranty, and without a single threaded interface. The Knee addresses this. The attachment point is defined. The adapter accepts what the adapter accepts. The leg continues below. The thigh continues above. The angle between them is the product. The Knee does not replace the existing joint. The Knee augments it with a standardized attachment surface so that future components do not have to negotiate with the bone directly, which has historically been an uncomfortable conversation for everyone involved.
