MTREES stands for Modular Transnational Robust Extreme Environment System, a conceptual design system meant to standardize and connect Internet of Things devices with structures and real life environments with emphasis on safety, entertainment, ecology and economic value. It could also combine virtual/augmented realities with different environments, provide tactile feedback across an amalgum of senses. The structured system is made with various types of connectors and attachments for different types of devices. Using a modular approach, consumers can create custom designs and assemble on location or pick from a variety of pre-configured bundles in the marketplace. Using the same design system on a small and large scale enables more efficiency and reusable patterns. A major design goal was to take back control of our environment, climate, interactivity, connectedness and flatten the curve on numerous key performance indicators across a spectrum of industries as well as help people feel more comfortable in all environments while giving back a clean and efficient system in its wake.
Vanhicular Man's Laughtergalaxy
Galaxy Vanhicular Man's Laughter is the MTREES personal transportation universe — the full taxonomy of vehicles, platforms, and infrastructure products for the problem of moving a human being from one location to another with appropriate speed, comfort, cargo capacity, and dignity. Transportation is the layer of the physical universe where every person makes daily decisions about which machine to trust with their body and how much that decision costs. This galaxy covers the complete spectrum of personal vehicle formats: the bicycle as the most efficient machine ever conceived, the scooter as the last-mile solution that refuses to be embarrassed about it, the van as a mobile habitat that contains an entire philosophy of life in a cargo volume, and the truck as the most capable underutilized platform on the road. Everything here is a platform. Everything accepts upgrades. The car that is not in this galaxy knows why.
Unlogical Logisticsgalaxy
Galaxy Unlogical Logistics is the MTREES supply chain and fulfillment universe — the full taxonomy of systems that move things from where they are made to where they are needed, wrap them correctly, store them efficiently, and dispatch them with a reasonable expectation of arrival. Logistics is the least celebrated and most load-bearing layer of any product ecosystem. When it works, nobody notices. When it doesn't, a customer receives an email. This galaxy covers the manufacturing floor, the warehouse floor, the packaging station, and the loading dock — the four environments that exist between a good idea and a delivered object. Mountain Sigma oversees the whole thing from a position of operational authority and a very specific set of opinions about the timeline. Break it to make it is the philosophy. The logistics are already broken. That is the point of departure.
Turn Key Huntinggalaxy
Galaxy Turn Key Hunting is the MTREES commerce and consumer experience universe — the full taxonomy of products for the environments where things are bought, the places people work while things are being bought, and the cities that contain both of those environments simultaneously. This galaxy covers the complete retail stack: the municipal infrastructure that surrounds commerce, the mall environments where commerce happens at close range, the homes people return to after commerce, and the offices where people generate the income that enables commerce in the first place. Everything here is in service of the transaction — either facilitating it, protecting it, surviving it, or recovering from it. Turn Key Hunting does not take a position on whether shopping is meaningful. It takes the position that if shopping is going to happen anyway, it should happen in an environment that has been improved by the products in this galaxy.
Hardcore Housinggalaxy
Galaxy Hardcore Housing is the MTREES residential universe — the full taxonomy of shelter systems, modular housing ecosystems, and structural formats for people who need a place to exist on the planet and have not been served by the available options. Housing is the most consequential physical product a person acquires, and it has been designed with the creativity of a spreadsheet and the flexibility of concrete. Hardcore Housing attacks this from multiple angles: colonial modular systems that look expected and behave like platforms, angular boxy off-grid structures that degrade gracefully, tubular stacking habitats for density environments, and everything in between. Planets here do not share a single architectural language. They share the belief that the structure a person lives in should be improvable, expandable, and designed for the life actually being lived rather than the life a developer assumed would be lived there.
Sportsticlesgalaxy
Galaxy Sportsticles is the MTREES athletic, recreational, and competitive experience universe — the full taxonomy of products for people who want to move, compete, perform, and occasionally injure themselves with better equipment than they currently have. Sports is the part of the human experience that most honestly reflects the desire to be better at something specific, measured against another person or a personal record, with feedback that arrives immediately and without ambiguity. The trees here are instruments of that feedback loop: haptic systems that translate virtual combat into physical consequence, camera platforms for documenting athletic form and the moments immediately before athletic failure, and modular weapon systems compatible with both regulation competition and a stick someone found in the park. Galaxy Sportsticles does not distinguish between professional athletes and people who bought something at 2am and have been meaning to use it. The hardware treats everyone equally.
Media Magic Monstergalaxy
Galaxy Media Magic Monster is the MTREES media, entertainment, and content production universe — the full taxonomy of products for making, capturing, distributing, and experiencing things that people watch, listen to, and talk about afterward. Media is the layer of the universe where the narrative is formed: who the personas are, what mountain they are on, how far they fell, and whether anyone caught it on camera. This galaxy contains the instruments of production — recording environments, AR/VR experience platforms — and the people who operate them, including journalists of considerable hair and uncertain jurisdiction. Planet Media has not been fully built. The galaxy is aware of this. The galaxy is also aware that a galaxy named Media Magic Monster is going to be held to a high standard by the exact kind of person who would audit a galaxy's content. Unrational Intangiblesgalaxy
Galaxy Unrational Intangibles is the MTREES designation for the layer of the universe that powers everything else without being a physical object. Software, platforms, algorithms, digital instruments, hiring systems, marketing infrastructure, identity frameworks, and the philosophical constructs that hold the whole thing together — all of it lives here. The intangible is not a lesser node. It is frequently the node doing the most work while receiving the least credit, which is appropriate because it cannot be seen. This galaxy contains the machinery of hiring, the infrastructure of digital manipulation, the platform that connects everything, and several things that have no body but a great deal of consequence. Everything in the MTREES universe eventually touches something in this galaxy, even if it doesn't know it. Especially if it doesn't know it.
Mature Cheese Factorygalaxy
Galaxy Mature Cheese Factory is the MTREES restricted zone — the part of the universe that exists for products, ecosystems, and experiences that are correct, defensible, and appropriate for the audience they were designed for, which is not everyone and does not need to be. The Cheese Factory ages what it contains. Some ideas require time, restraint, and a specific kind of visitor before they are ready to be served. Nothing here is hidden because it is wrong. It is staged because it is ripe, and ripeness has a specific arrival window that the uninitiated tend to misread as something else entirely. The galaxy currently has no public children. The galaxy has always had no public children. These two statements are not the same statement, and the Mature Cheese Factory would like you to sit with that for a moment before you ask a follow-up question.
