Planet Office is the MTREES workplace ecosystem — the full taxonomy of products for environments where people sit near other people for eight hours and are expected to produce output. The office is a social contract written in fluorescent lighting and ergonomic chair adjustments that never quite work. Planet Office takes the position that the physical tools of the workplace have been dramatically underserved by an industry more interested in collaboration software than in the temperature of the person's fingers. The trees here address the office as a physical environment with thermal, spatial, and acoustic dimensions that affect whether work actually happens. Products on this planet are designed for desks, conference rooms, open-plan floors, and the specific category of professional who has been asked to return to an environment they had made peace with not being in. The office is a place. It can be improved.
