Mount Upsilon is the definitive selfie competition and augmented reality acrobatics challenge, combining high-altitude obstacle architecture with social content generation infrastructure to produce what is simultaneously the most dangerous and most photographed mountain in the universe. Contestants are equipped with either the Selfie Sword — a dual-function instrument operable as both a combat weapon and a precision camera deployment arm — or the Selfie Helmet, a full-cranial AR capture platform providing hands-free 360-degree video documentation of the wearer's ascent from the wearer's own perspective. Contestants may select from two operational modes: the Peaceful Meander, a treacherous platforming route through genuinely dangerous angles and elevation drops not recommended for anyone with a functional sense of self-preservation; or Battle Mode, in which participants compete in real-time selfie composition quality while simultaneously engaging opponents, generating 360 video documentation of acrobatic virtual reality ninja movement across the upper course platforms. Physical energy output from contestants during the ascent is harvested by the Spinner Generator installed at the mountain's upper elevation zone, converting kinetic input into course power that activates resources, unlocks higher platform tiers, and sustains the augmented reality overlay infrastructure. The virtual raid boss occupying the true summit cannot be reached by any path other than precise, rhythmically timed sword slash sequences — each swing must connect within tolerance or the contestant is reset to the nearest checkpoint.
