SOLUTION

The Hood Bat is a modular mechanic in a stick, tightly packaged and dual-purpose by design. Primary function: prop open the hood of your van so you can change your oil, locate the source of that noise, or just stand around with your buddies scratching your heads and collectively willing the motor to turn over. Secondary function: self defense, depending on which hood you are referencing. A tree branch works too but the Hood Bat has a better warranty.
