Bike Arms

Type: tree | Origin: Planet Bike
COMPONENTS
Handlebar
Telescoping Pole
Tarp
Stake
Duct Tape
PROBLEM

Bikes have holes in their tubes.

SOLUTION

Bike Arms is a handlebar system with telescoping poles that slide out from inside the bars, converting any standard bike into a functional tent frame in under two minutes. Plant the stakes, extend the poles, throw the tarp over it and you are home. Designed for cyclists, campers, and anyone who has ever been caught somewhere spectacular with nowhere to sleep. The whole rig is built into the handlebar so it is always with you when you need it most.

components

A grip and steering bar that mounts to the front fork stem. Compatible with standard attachment hardware and accessory clamps.

Inspect

An extendable pole that collapses to a compact length for storage and extends to a fixed height for use. Locks at each segment via twist or push-button mechanism.

Inspect

A waterproof flexible sheet that provides overhead cover or ground protection. Grommeted edges accept stakes, cord, and attachment points.

Inspect

A pointed anchor driven into the ground to hold cords, tarps, or frame bases in place. Works in soil, sand, and packed dirt.

Inspect

No confirmed uses. Automagically instantiated at every recursive loop.

"description": "Planet Bike is the full taxonomy of two-wheeled human-powered transportation and everything that makes it survivable, comfortable, and worth doing more than once. The bicycle is the most efficient machine ever built by a species that also invented the leaf blower, and yet somehow it remains the underdog in every infrastructure conversation. Planet Bike addresses this by treating the bike not as a vehicle of last resort but as a platform \u2014 one that accepts arms, seats, cargo systems, power assists, and components that have no business being on a bike but are significantly better for being there. Everything here is designed around the premise that a person on a bike is already doing the right thing and deserves hardware that reflects that. The car is not invited."
