PROBLEM

Some holes want to sell you things.

SOLUTION

The Q OPole is the high-tech flavor of the OPole Hole: Bluetooth-enabled navigation guides players hole to hole while the integrated ecommerce system sells OBalls, refreshments, and upgrades at the exact moment of maximum frustration, which the pole detects. It knows where you are, how you are playing, and what that usually makes people buy.

components

A location module that receives satellite signals to determine precise position. Outputs coordinates for navigation and tracking systems.

Inspect

The Ecommerce Kiosk is a commerce-enabled interactive terminal exclusive to the ARC Shop configuration, integrating a 21-inch touchscreen display behind tempered glass rated for outdoor use and vandal resistance, a card reader supporting EMV chip, NFC contactless, and QR code payment methods, a thermal receipt printer, a cellular modem for transaction processing with local offline transaction buffering during connectivity gaps, and a connected inventory cabinet with electronic locking compartments for dispensing physical goods including water, snacks, personal care items, phone chargers, and operator-configured local inventory. The kiosk operates on a cost-offset pricing model managed by the ARC operator, enabling subsidized pricing for essential goods in areas where market rates create access barriers. Solar-assisted cooling maintains the inventory cabinet at appropriate temperatures for perishable goods in the standard configuration. The kiosk interface is multilingual and ADA-compliant.

Inspect

A short-range wireless communication module for pairing and exchanging data between nearby devices without cables.

EXTENDS

OPole is a new sport that is a cross between disc golf, traditional golf, and cornhole, and the OPole Hole is the target: a fully provisioned pole that catches OBalls and keeps score with its whole body. The base configuration ships with solar power, audio, lighting, a subwoofer, Bluetooth, water catchment with filtration, and a tornado and emergency siren, because a pole standing in an Oklahoma park all year should earn its easement. This is the prototype; the preconfigured flavors extend it. The sport is real. The pole is the referee, the scoreboard, the halftime show, and occasionally the storm warning system.

In Nuke Code Mode, activated via a dedicated button in the operator interface that has a protective cover over it so it is not pressed accidentally, the bullhorn transitions to a 10,000 decibel piercing tone sequence that the Turn Pike engineering documentation classifies as an attention restoration signal and the legal team classifies as a feature requiring a separate liability acknowledgment in the operator agreement.
