The Terminator needed something that looked like it meant it.

SOLUTION

The SPAS-12 is the MTREES Italian semi-automatic and pump-action dual-mode combat shotgun variant of the Boomstick platform, selected for the Terminator loadout on the basis that it is the most visually convincing shotgun ever manufactured and was designed in a decade that treated visual conviction as a primary engineering specification. The SPAS-12 can be operated in semi-automatic mode for rapid target engagement or pump-action mode for situations where ammunition is low and commitment is high, a toggle that the operator selects via a lever that most operators do not know exists until the weapon declines to cycle, which is the worst time to learn about a lever. The folding stock folds, which makes it smaller, which does not make it less alarming, which is the point of folding the stock.
