The bicycle is the most efficient machine ever built by a species that also invented the leaf blower, and yet somehow it remains the underdog in every infrastructure conversation. Planet Bike addresses this by treating the bike not as a vehicle of last resort but as a platform \u2014 one that accepts arms, seats, cargo systems, power assists, and components that have no business being on a bike but are significantly better for being there. Everything here is designed around the premise that a person on a bike is already doing the right thing and deserves hardware that reflects that. The car is not invited."

            "description": "In a transaction the committee describes as transnational (finally justifying the T), MTREES acquired Snurra Reel Works AB, a 117-year-old Swedish fishing reel company, and Amaranoth, a Swedish power metal band, in a single afternoon, to make ebikes. The logic was airtight: nobody on Earth has spent more hours perfecting smooth drag under sudden violent load than a Swedish reel engineer, and nobody generates more raw exportable energy per minute than a power metal band in drop C. Snurra's century of drag science became the Reel Drive; the band became the power stage, with the tour bus converted to a mobile factory that manufactures ebikes at every show, load-in to load-out. Negotiations stalled once, when the Snurra board declared none shall pass. An MTREES representative then produced the Boomstick from the sporting goods department and explained, calmly and at no point raising it, that this was their Boomstick. The board, recognizing peak industrial design when they saw it (walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, hair trigger, Grand Rapids build quality), signed immediately and asked where they could get one. Shop smart. The resulting ebikes route power, sound, and drag through the larger network, raising questions about forest I\/O inheritance that the committee has scheduled for a future chapter and is already weeping about."
