PROBLEM

Voters want proof that their vote was recorded and a screen confirmation is not the same as a piece of paper.

SOLUTION

The Vote Printer is a direct thermal receipt printer integrated into the lower body of each Voter Rotor station, producing a paper confirmation receipt at the conclusion of each voting session that includes the voter's anonymized session ID, the timestamp of their vote submission, a QR code linking to the encrypted vote record on the jurisdiction's audit ledger, and a small graphic of a ballot box that the design team added because they felt the receipt needed something. The paper is thermal, 80 millimeters wide, and tears cleanly at the exit slot. The printer holds a 60-meter paper roll providing approximately 800 receipts per roll before the low-paper indicator activates on the operator dashboard. The receipt is the voter's record. It is not a legal instrument, a claim of outcome, or a guarantee of anything except that the Voter Rotor received their input. This distinction is noted on the receipt in small text at the bottom next to the ballot box graphic.
