SOLUTION

The Satellite Dish is a low-earth-orbit satellite broadband terminal mounted on the upper structure of the Turn Pike providing the bidirectional high-bandwidth, low-latency internet connection required to sustain a live VR telepresence session between the toll booth unit and the operator's home setup without perceptible lag, frame drops, or the kind of audio delay that makes a conversation feel like two people yelling past each other, which is already a risk at a toll booth without adding technology problems. The dish is a flat-panel phased array unit in a weatherproof housing that tracks the satellite constellation automatically without mechanical rotation, rated for rain fade, snow accumulation, and the full ambient vibration environment of a highway-adjacent installation. Latency is under 40 milliseconds in nominal conditions, which is sufficient for VR telepresence and would also be excellent for gaming, though this use case is not officially sanctioned during a shift.
