Package Delivery Box

Type: component
PROBLEM

Truck drivers receive packages too but they are never in one place long enough to get them.

SOLUTION

The Package Delivery Box is a heavy-gauge powder-coated steel lockbox mounted at accessible height on the Truck Pot body, sized to accept packages up to 18 by 14 by 12 inches through a hinged top-loading drop slot that allows delivery without a key or code from the delivery side and requires a unique per-session PIN from the recipient side. The PIN is generated when the driver registers their truck at the Truck Pot via the pole-mounted NFC tap point and delivered to whatever contact method they specify. The box is through-bolted to the pole body with tamper-resistant hardware and the lock cylinder is a Grade 1 commercial deadbolt with a hardened steel shackle. A carrier strip along the inside of the door holds a laminated address card insert the driver can slide in for their overnight stay so deliveries find the right box in a lot with multiple Truck Pots. The box is not heated or cooled and is not rated for perishable goods, which is a decision the documentation makes clearly because people have tried.
