MTREES stands for Modular Transnational Robust Extreme Environment System and is a strategic problem solving design system and natural design language based on technology architecture. It combines the form with function and modular interoperability methodologies based on biomimicry. The story is told from the perspective of a cyborg alien from another galaxy that came to Earth and found it in disrepair, so he decided to teach the humans to come up with ideas themselves. MTREES is a learning resource to improve team collaboration, solve a problem with creativity, or have fun as a game with your friends on a Friday night. Project based learning, such as MTREES, helps teach how to follow the narratives of design systems, apply them in other ways and learn a technique to brainstorm.

MTREES is a technology spec based on biomimicry, using structures such as trees and rivers to describe how certain systems work, much like data. It also simplifies complex problems in a fun manner in order to come up with creative solutions.
M-trees are tree data structures, abstract data types that simulate hierarchical structure with child nodes and parent nodes and represent a set of linked data. Just like a real tree, they start with a root. They are widely used in computer technology, data analytics and more. MTREES was inspired by M-TREES patterns.
MTREES is not a rigid framework or spec. It is a starting point to use natural design and modular systems in your daily life and business.
